The EMA 2015 Needs You!

Have you got the talent to help make one of the most talked about music events of the year?

This October, the EMA will be touching down in Milan to broadcast on screens around the world, and MTV Breaks is looking for some fresh talent to come and work behind the scenes.

We’re on the hunt for:

A Digital Correspondent

A Graphic Designer

A Make-up Artist

A Photographer

As well as getting the chance to show the world your creative skill, each winner will get:

- An industry mentor at the event, and follow up sessions after the event
- A feature on their work to broadcast on MTV
- Travel to Milan and accommodation

So if you want to have the most awesome first break, and give your creative career a kick-start, get your entry in before 11th September 2015. You’ll need to be aged 18-26, available from 21st – 26th October 2015, be able to travel internationally, and not have previously worked professionally in the chosen opportunity area.

Are you a social media whizz with a knack for capturing and sharing memorable moments? We’re looking for someone who can help bring the EMA experience to fans around the world by spotting, capturing and sharing the most buzzworthy moments from backstage and beyond. You’ll need to know what our digital fans love, be a super savvy social media user, and be able to use your phone to create the very best content – all while working live at one of the world’s biggest music events. Here’s how you can enter:

How To Enter: Sum up the best moment of your day in a 15 second Instagram video. Upload it to your account and tag it with #MTVBreaks and #EMADigital. Remember – we won’t be able to see it if your account is private.

Graphic Designer

Have you got an eye for design that could bring an extra element of awesome to the EMA? We’re looking for someone who can help work with the EMA graphics team in the run up to the event and on the ground, to help bring the event to life. This opportunity is all about creating the most striking graphic designs, and working out what will pop on camera.
You’ll need to be available in September to work up some ideas with the team via email, and be available across the weekend to help put it all into action. As well as seeing your work at the EMA, you’ll be mentored by the agency who create the awesome look from the EMA.

How To Enter: We want to see what you would have done if you’d designed this year’s winners’ envelope. Using this year’s EMA logo (download here) we want you to reimagine the envelope your way. Once you’ve mocked up a design, post your creation to your personal Twitter or Instagram, and hashtag it #MTVBreaks and #EMADesign.

Make-up Artist

Think being the best EMA make-up artist is all about what you can bring with your brushes? Think again. To help create the most eye-popping looks, the EMA make-up team want to work with the most creatively-minded people who have the most inspired ideas for dramatic new looks.

This year, we’ve teamed up with the head of the Make-Up team, Debbie Dannell, to offer the opportunity to come and work as part of her crew, doing everything from creating EMA inspired moodboards through to making up the dancers before they take to the stage.

So, if you think you could turn an idea into the most inspired make-up look to hit the EMA, here’s how you can enter for the chance to be a part of the EMA make-up team.

How To Enter: We want to see how creative you are by asking you to create a moodboard around the theme of ‘Imagination and Surrealism’. Using Pinterest, or another image sharing tool, we want you to create a moodboard full of the visual references, cool shapes, colours, concepts, and big ideas all tied to the this theme – and that you think could inspire the whole make-up team to deliver some incredible looks. Once you’ve made your board, tweet us the link along with the hashtags #MTVBreaks and #EMAmakeup.

As well as an imagination for all things make-up, you’ll need conversational English as life behind the scenes in the make-up room is fast-paced and full of ideas.

Have you got some serious skill behind the camera? Hot on the heels of one of last year’s most popular EMA opportunities, we’re searching for a photographer to come to Milan and snap amazing pics of the EMA red carpet and all the MTV Breaks action.

How To Enter: We want so see how good you are at capturing the excitement and energy that will be at the EMA. So, take a picture that shows off one of the most exciting moments in your life, upload it to Instagram and tag it with #MTVBreaks and #EMAPhotographer
