Justin Bieber premiered his highly anticipated new single to enthusiastic listeners at the iHeartMedia Music Summit on Wednesday.
Justin Bieber is convinced people are hoping he’ll end up being a complete failure.
The 21-year-old Canadian singer is preparing to release a fresh album soon, the first LP since his last record Believe hit the shelves in 2012.
Justin found himself in trouble with the law in 2014 and he is still on probation in connection to his crimes.
And at the iHeartMedia Music Summit, which was held in Burbank, California on Wednesday, the musician agreed “it’s been kinda a rough couple of years” for him.
“I think people want to see me fail,” Justin told the audience as he spoke onstage, according to USA Today. “I’ve been working my hardest to not let that happen. I’m still that same kid that you guys met a long time ago. I want you guys to take this journey with me.”
Also at the event Justin debuted his forthcoming single What Do You Mean, standing onstage while the song played in the background. It seems as if he took a page out of the book of Skrillex and Diplo, who he recently collaborated with on their Jack Ü song Where Are Ü Now, as What Do You Mean has a dance club vibe to it.
The heavy bass blares as Justin sings these lyrics: “What do you mean? / You don’t want me to move, but you tell me to go. / What do you mean?/ You nod your head yes, but you wanna say no.”
While speaking to the crowd, the Baby hitmaker ensured fans will not be disappointed with his new volume of work.
“My music is very awesome, actually. I’ve been working really hard on it,” he emphasised. “I’ve been taking my time. I haven’t put out an album in over three years.”
Also on Wednesday, Justin revealed via Twitter fans have 23 days longer to wait before the new track is released.
