Meghan Trainor wouldn’t write mean songs about a boyfriend.
Meghan Trainor thinks she would make the best girlfriend.
The 21-year-old is believed to be single at the moment. But she thinks when she does end up in a relationship, she would make a brilliant companion for the lucky man in question.
“I would be the best girlfriend; I wouldn’t write any mean songs,” she told Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up. “I would be like, ’You are so nice, even on your mean days.’ I’d be so nice to them.”
Meghan has been very open about her quest for romance in the past. And it seems she discusses relationships with her fellow pop stars too, recalling a conversation she had with Problem singer Ariana Grande on the subject.
“Ariana told me ’I’m being so so careful,‘” she said. “And I was like, ’I would be careful if there was anybody.’”
Her single status isn’t for the want of trying though, with Meghan revealing details of a recent date with a “nice gentleman”. The man in question quickly witnessed what would come with the territory of dating the All About That Bass singer.
“This nice gentlemen took me out on a date and it was very fancy and I’m like, ’We don’t have to do this; I hate everything on this menu.’… This one person was brave enough to come up and after that, they lined up,” she continued. “And finally the owner of the restaurant came out and was like, ’We don’t do pictures,’ and I was like, ’Yes!’ And I looked at [my date] and [went], ’So [this is] the future if this is what you want.’”
The singer didn’t reveal if she made it to a second date with the potential suitor.
