Hailee Steinfeld: I can see the light!

Hailee Steinfeld has admitted it’s been tough balancing her Hollywood career with high school obligations.

Hailee Steinfeld can finally “see the light at the end of the tunnel” when it comes to her education.

The 18-year-old Pitch Perfect 2 actress is still in high school and has been attempting to balance homework with film and TV shoots since 2007.

Now, Hailee is so happy she’ll be graduating by the close of June.

“I have 11 days left of school – I can see the light at the end of the tunnel,” she told Billboard magazine. “I’m home-schooled – I have been since the sixth grade. I feel like I’ve been working two full-time jobs these last six years.”

Hailee will be releasing her debut album later this year, so she’s also been hard at work on her music for quite some time.

Although the budding songstress notes she’s “still shaping and developing” as a musician, Hailee is elated for fans to hear her “unique pop” sound.

“I just finished recording my first single last night. It’s an edgy pop record that will be coming this summer for sure. It’s called Love Myself, and it was produced with Mattman & Robin,” she shared. “You’ll hear it soon enough and be able to tell me what you feel it’s about. It’s crazy again how fast it’s all happening and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

Hailee recently made a cameo appearance as butt-kicking character Trinity in Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood music video.

And the Barely Lethal actress loved every moment of Taylor’s promo.

“It was so much fun, but it’s so crazy,” Hailee gushed. “I didn’t know this until today that people are asking if there’s going to be a full-length. I was like, ‘The song?’ And they said, ‘No, the video!’ It is basically a mini-movie. I don’t see how there’s any reason there can’t be a larger one. I admire Taylor so much as an artist and as a person – I think she’s absolutely incredible. That was definitely in the top three coolest things we’ve done as friends, is make that video.”
