Heidi Klum wants her children to have as normal a childhood as possible.
Heidi Klum won’t push her children into any career.
The German supermodel has four kids, Leni, Henry, Johan and Lou. Being a mother is of the utmost importance to the 41-year-old star, and she has thought long and hard about how she wants to raise her offspring.
“I don’t want to push them towards anything. I want them to do what they want to do, so I’m going to just see what their interests are. They play football and do gymnastics and they are about to start with piano again. They have hobbies, but I want them to have a normal childhood,” she told British magazine Hello!
At the moment none of Heidi’s kids are showing strong signs that they want to follow her or her ex-husband Seal into showbusiness. That doesn’t bother the star at all, as she wants them to tread their own path.
That doesn’t mean Heidi lets her children do whatever they want though. She is strict about certain things, such as wanting the kids to spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors.
“I have days at home with the kids, but it’s never really too lazy,” she said. “We have such beautiful weather in LA so when the kids aren’t at school we are usually by the pool all the time. We buy a bunch of food and we have a barbecue and we lay around the pool and swim and eat ice creams and just hang out. We don’t sit around on the couch watching TV, that doesn’t really happen in my household.”
Leni is Heidi’s daughter with her former partner Flavio Briatore, while she has her other children with her ex-husband Seal.
