Kendall Jenner says her father Bruce Jenner is "changing shoes" at the moment.
Kendall Jenner will love her father “whether he’s a man or a woman”.
The 19-year-old model’s dad Bruce has been the subject of intense speculation of late as it’s rumoured he is transitioning into a woman. While he is yet to confirm the news, his daughter has apparently done so in an interview with Us Weekly.
“I love my dad. He’s always been there for me and my sisters,” she told the publication on Saturday. “He’s a wonderful man. And just because he’s changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn’t make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he’s a man or a woman.”
Bruce has five other children, including Kendall’s sister Kylie. He is also step-father to Kim, Khloé, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian and it’s been widely reported all the children have been rallying around since he revealed he wants to live as a woman.
Kendall wasn’t drawn any further on the topic, although she did discuss what angers her about being famous.
“When people say we don’t work hard. That’s just the biggest lie ever. All of our family members are super dedicated to their work, and we all know how to commit ourselves to our jobs. It’s a great quality to have, I think. A good work ethic goes a long way,” she said.
Kendall has become one of the top models around, walking for the likes of Chanel and Marc Jacobs during the recent Fashion Week season.
She loves everything about the career, but realises it’s unlikely to last forever. That’s why she’s making plans to act, like her good friend and fellow model Cara Delevingne.
The pair are close and the British star is just one of Kendall’s famous pals. She’s also friendly with Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith, explaining that given her family is so famous she prefers it when her friends understand what that entails.
“I don’t know if it’s easier, but it doesn’t hurt. When you grow up in the public eye, it’s a little difficult for others to understand what you are going through sometimes,” she explained.
“It’s not normal to go get a coffee in the morning and have paparazzi follow you. And some people might not understand that. My famous friends get it. We are on the same page.”
