Cameron Diaz's Razzies double whammy

Cameron Diaz was hit with a double whammy at the Razzies yesterday, where she received the worst actress title for Sex Tape and The Other Woman.

Cameron Diaz was crowned worst actress at the Razzie Awards last night.

The annual event ‘celebrates’ the dodgiest movie ventures of the year, posing a light-hearted alternative to the Oscars, which take place tonight.

And Cameron received the tongue-in-cheek prize for 2015, picking up the questionable accolade for her turn in The Other Woman and Sex Tape.

Cameron was also hit with another snub when Annie, in which she played Hannigan, was named the worst remake of the year. She almost picked up the worst supporting actress award for the title too, but that ended up going to Megan Fox for her turn in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

But it was actor Kirk Cameron who really felt the wrath of the Razzies thanks to his Saving Christmas family comedy, which boasts a 1.5 out of 10 rating on IMDb.

The film – directed by Darren Doane – was hit with the titles of worst picture, worst actor, worst screenplay and worst screen combo for Kirk and “his ego”.

Transformers: Age of Extinction also didn’t fare too well, picking up worst director for Michael Bay and worst supporting actor for Kelsey Grammer.

The only slightly desirable title is the redeemer award, which celebrates previous Razzie nominees or winners who have managed to turn their luck around. This year it went to Ben Affleck, who picked up the worst actor Razzie in 2004 but has now won Oscars recognition with Argo and Gone Girl.
