Taylor Swift has given fans an update on who’ll be circling the world with her on The 1989 World Tour.
Taylor Swift has announced pop rock girl band HAIM will be joining her concert tour.
The Welcome to New York singer is kicking off her The 1989 World Tour a few months from now.
And Taylor is elated HAIM is opening for her as she plays shows around the globe.
“HAIM IS JOINING THE 1989 TOUR THIS IS NOT A DRILL I REPEAT HAIM IS JOINING THE 1989 TOUR @haimtheband,” Taylor wrote on Instagram Sunday.
HAIM is equally delighted to be going on tour with the 25-year-old songstress.
“so excited we get to hop on the 1989 tour with @taylorswift13 and play a few of our favorite cities! gonna be [hot hot hot]” the rockers wrote on their Twitter account.
HAIM is a band from Los Angeles comprised of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana and their drummer Dash Hutton.
The group has been receiving huge accolades recently and even Fleetwood Mac music legend Stevie Nicks gave them a shout out.
“[Haim is] just my favourite,” she gushed to Us Weekly magazine. “I’m just very enamoured with their music and they’re very influenced by Fleetwood Mac. I think they’re going to be a big force in rock ‘n’ roll. I think they’re one of the few bands that I have met that not even the tragedy of the music business and Internet piracy, I don’t think it’s going to stop them.”
Taylor’s The 1989 World Tour kicks off in Tokyo, Japan on May 2015. She will be performing 79 shows in Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania through until her last concert, which takes place in Melbourne, Australia on December 12, 2015.
