Jessie J was mortified when her mother pointed out a tattoo she'd had inked was spelled incorrectly.
Jessie J always wears high-waisted clothes to hide a tattoo she’s embarrassed about.
The 26-year-old singer may be known for her blunt bob, but inkings aren’t something she’s synonymous with. She’s now explained she once was a fan of body art, but a terrible experience left her regretting her choice.
“I did it ages ago and had ’Don’t lose who you are in the blur of the star!’ tattooed on my side. Not long after I had it done my mum said to me in tears, ‘I don’t know how to tell you this but it is spelt wrong,’” she recalled on The Graham Norton Show.
“I have ’Don’t loose who you are in the blur of the stars!’ It’s really big which is awful. It’s the reason I always wear high waisted stuff.”
Jessie laughed she has no intention of flaunting the mistake at a camera during one of her shows.
She didn’t specify when she had the embarrassing inking, but is ready to take steps to solve the issue.
“I’m going to get it covered and I’m not having any more tattoos,” she stated.
Jessie is promoting her new record Sweet Talker at the moment, which includes the singles Burnin’ Up and Masterpiece. She’s also just confirmed she’s heading Down Under for a series of shows.
“AUSTRALIA!!! My first solo TOUR!!! I can’t wait (sic)!” she wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
She’s readying herself for a great 2015 and has been telling fans how inspired she’s feeling via social media. For one thing, the star hopes to enjoy a lot of new experiences over the next 12 months.
“Becoming YOU doesn’t ever stop. You have to live out what you feel is right to discover who you are. A bird doesn’t sit still if it can fly,” she wrote.
“This year I am being less afraid to make change and try new things. Being free doesn’t mean you sit in other peoples boxes (sic).”
