Selena Gomez says she is “at peace now” following the end of her relationship with Justin Bieber.
Selena Gomez doesn’t want anything bad to ever happen to her ex Justin Bieber.
The 22-year-old singer and Justin, 20, split earlier this year following several years of an on-off relationship. However, Selena says that while she and Justin are no longer together, they are still on good terms and care about each other.
“I support him. I think I always will,” Selena said during an interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday. “I’m upset when he’s upset. I’m happy when he’s happy. I don’t want anything ever to happen to him bad. It hurts me. That’s all.”
Selena visited the Seacrest studios to speak about the video for her new track The Heart Wants What It Wants – an emotional track with an equally emotional video.
And Selena told Ryan that Justin has given the video his approval.
“He has seen the video,” Selena said. “It’s something I’m willing to share with people. He thought it was beautiful.”
The stunning brunette also opened up about how media attention on her and Justin affected their relationship.
However, Selena said that despite their relationship coming to an end, she is pleased that they went through the situations they did as a couple.
“I think the biggest problem I had this year, even with Justin, is identity… I was trying to figure out what I’m doing. It was the first time I was constantly being kicked down,” Selena said. “I made some decisions that weren’t great. So did he. We went through that to only make us better.
“I think in a lot of ways, I’m just at peace now.”
Selena concluded the interview by joking: “eHarmony is next!”
