Bynes ‘delusional about engagement’

Amanda Bynes is supposedly not getting married in reality after publicly proclaiming she was due to wed.

Amanda Bynes is reportedly “delusional” about her professed marriage engagement.

The 28-year-old former actress told In Touch Weekly on Thursday she was due to wed after accepting the proposal of a 19-year-old man who works at a bait shop in Costa Mesa, California.

But apparently her claims are untrue, causing great concern with loved ones.

“She isn’t getting engaged. She’s delusional. This is just more proof of her shaky mental state,” a source told Radar Online.

“[For Amanda] it’s truly a life and death situation. If someone doesn’t step in and do something, this story could have a very tragic ending.”

Amanda was put under an involuntary psychiatric hold in July 2013, which is enacted on those deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

Following her detainment, the star’s parents Rick and Lynn Bynes were given control over their daughter’s finances and health care after a judge awarded them conservatorship.

The temporary guardianship order ended September 10, according to E! News, and since then Amanda has been arrested for driving under the influence.

Apparently her mother Lynn is desperately worried over the welfare of her daughter, but support from husband Rick is lacking.

“Lynn is planning on going to New York City in the next two weeks. She is deeply disturbed by the pictures of Amanda appearing to be very wobbly on a bike in traffic. Reports of Amanda talking to herself in restaurants are also very troubling signs,” the insider detailed to Radar.

“It’s been very difficult for Lynn because husband, Rick, doesn’t believe their daughter suffers from any mental health issues. In Rick’s opinion, Amanda is just acting like a spoiled brat. Lynn has tried to call Amanda, but when she does, she immediately gets hung up on.”
