Amanda Bynes claims she is due to marry a man who lives in Costa Mesa, California.
Amanda Bynes says she’s engaged to a 19-year-old man who resides in California.
The 28-year-old former actress sparked rumours last week she had accepted a proposal after stepping out with a ring on her wedding finger while in New York.
And in a new interview with In Touch Weekly, the star claims she’s looking forward to walking down the aisle, in part because it means she’ll have a convenient excuse to turn down other men.
“I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f**k them, but I can now say I’m engaged — get away from me,” she told a reporter. “I want to be married and I want to be away from people.”
Amanda reportedly claimed her fiancé, a man named Caleb, lives in Costa Mesa, California, where he works in a bait shop. She hopes, however, the couple will make their home in New York.
“I really do not enjoy driving,” she said. “I don’t like the way I look in a car. The lighting is very bad.”
The star, who was recently arrested for driving under the influence, also said she hopes to soon start a family.
“I want boys, for sure. However many I can pop out,” she told the magazine. “I don’t want a gorgeous girl around. Then I [would] feel way jealous. Ew.”
Amanda said the pair have yet to set a date for the wedding, which she hopes to hold at the London hotel in West Hollywood.
Although she recently attended classes at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County, she’s still debating on whether to design her own wedding dress.
“I honestly would rather not [design my dress], but I’m so particular about how I look that I cannot imagine not designing it,” she said.
Amanda’s remarks follow little over a week after she was arrested in Los Angeles and charged with DUI after stopping in the middle of an intersection and failing a field sobriety test, according to a California Highway Patrol spokesperson.
The incident occurred less than three weeks after a conservatorship overseen by her parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, ended September 10, according to E! News.
Lynn was previously given control over her daughter’s finances and health care decisions after Amanda was put under an involuntary psychiatric hold in July 2013, which is enacted on those deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.
Rick Bynes subsequently admitted his knowledge of Amanda’s well-being has been limited recently.
“You know what we know,” he told X17Online.
Amanda remains on probation in connection to a previous DUI.
A court date in her latest case is scheduled for October 23.
