Demi Lovato performed the first concert of her Demi World Tour Saturday night.
Demi Lovato was a bundle of nerves before taking the stage Saturday.
The singer kicked off her Demi World Tour in Baltimore, Maryland September 6.
But before launching the shows, the Heart Attack hitmaker confessed to her 24 million Twitter followers she had more than a few butterflies fluttering in her stomach.
“I’m so nervous…..” she tweeted, fumbling over the keyboard: “Askfjankdsjk #DemiWorldTour.”
Demi won’t have much time to grapple with her nerves before the next show. She’s scheduled to play in Albany, New York on Sunday, followed by performances across the US and Canada through October 27, when the trek will wrap in New York City.
The star often keeps fans up to date on social media. And she gave her so-called “Lovatics” a treat shortly before she took the stage, announcing she had scheduled an online hangout where they can chat next week.
“GUYS!!! There’s so much going on and I have SO MUCH to tell u so I’m doing a Google Hangout on Tues at 7pm EST!!!” she wrote, including a link with how to participate.
It’s not unusual for the 22-year-old to surprise her fans.
In May, she released the music video for her single Really Don’t Care, which featured some of her biggest followers lip-synching and dancing to the track before she shocked them by joining in.
