Scarlett Johansson and fiancé Romain Dauriac have welcomed their first child into the world.
Scarlett Johansson has given birth to a baby girl.
The 29-year-old actress and her fiancé Romain Dauriac welcomed daughter Rose into the world, with the happy news confirmed by Scarlett’s representative.
“Mother and daughter are doing well,” Marcel Pariseau told the Associated Press on Thursday.
Scarlett and French journalist Romain got engaged last year, with the pregnancy news breaking in March.
The Avengers star recently spoke about the massive changes she is experiencing in her family life
“I’m very happy. Being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and really savour,” she told People magazine.
A spokesperson for the Oscar-nominated beauty said around the time of the engagement the couple were “very happy”, but declined to offer further details about their plans to say “I do”.
“They haven’t chosen a date for the wedding,” the rep said previously.
It was recently reported Scarlett was finding it difficult to balance her busy schedule while pregnant.
The Lucy star began shooting Avengers: Age of Ultron during the expectancy and apparently the pressure got to be too much.
“Scarlett has been throwing herself into work despite her pregnancy but everyone around her can see she’s exhausted and have been telling her to take it easy,” a source told British magazine Closer. “Filming often involved long 12-hour days on her feet and the locations have been all over the place. Scarlett didn’t realise how tired she’d feel being pregnant, but she’s very professional and doesn’t want to let anyone down.”
It appears Romain was most worried, purportedly advising his fiancée to take a break. But she is said to have been eyeing up scripts for next year already.
“Scarlett discussed new projects with Romain and it really sent him into a panic,” the insider added. “He doesn’t want her giving herself any further stress and just wants her to slow down, enjoy her pregnancy and, when the baby’s born, take some time off.”
