Jennifer Lopez reveals she warned Iggy Azalea about falling on stage just days before the Fancy singer’s accident.
Jennifer Lopez was “terrified” when Iggy Azalea fell offstage.
The Fancy rapper performed at a pre-VMAs party in Los Angeles Friday night at Hollywood nightclub The Avalon.
Unfortunately Iggy tumbled off the stage during her show and Jennifer is happy the accident didn’t result in serious injury.
“I was just terrified she was going to hurt herself, but thank god there was someone there to catch her and it was fine,” she told Extra.
Jennifer reveals she and the 24-year-old Australian musician had a portentous conversation just days before Iggy fell.
According to the 45-year-old Jenny from the Block star, the pair discussed the probability of stage mishaps.
“It’s funny because we had been talking about that a couple days ago. She was like, ‘I’ve never fallen’ and I said, ‘You will, we all have,’ and she did,” Jennifer recalled.
The women are currently working on a remix for JLo’s new single, Booty.
Jennifer is a huge fan of Iggy and feels pleased to be collaborating with her.
“Iggy’s in with me. It’s a lot of booty, a booty remix,” the Bronx native said of their project.
“I wanted her to do a record with me. I always liked her. I called her and we hit it off right away.”
Meanwhile Iggy has spoken of how lucky she feels for not being seriously hurt last week and the hip-hop star also found humour in the incident. Three days ago Iggy shared a video clip of her fall on Instagram, captioning the post with: “Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn”.
