… who decided what they want – and went and got it. World Cup winners, cancer curing geniuses and revolutionary app-developers, all proof that if you want it enough, you can make it happen…

*Sean Rad – Technology *
Our first gamechanger is a perfect match for our top ten list. You might not know this 27 year old’s name, but you may very well be thanking him when you find out who he is. Sean Rad is the CEO & Co-Founder of the dating app, Tinder. The popular dating app is now available in 24 languages and is rumoured to have around 10 million daily active users. Are you one?

*Mario Götze – Footballer *
With the words “show the world you are better than Messi” ringing in his ears, this footballer certainly did not disappoint during the 2014 World Cup. 22-year old Mario Götze drew inspiration from his manager’s words and went on to score the winning goal in Brazil this year.

*Ariana Grande – Musician *
Ariana Grande is an MTV favourite and at 21, is already one of the breakthrough stars of 2014. When she’s not making smash-hit tracks, she’s writing awesome articles about how she deals with bullying, or standing up for LGBT rights.

*Keven Stonewall – Scientist *
Over the past few years, 19 year old Keven Stonewall turned his passion for cancer research into a potential cure for colon cancer. Whilst still in high school, the teen worked tirelessly on creating a vaccine which, when tested on young mice was found to be 100% effective. Smashing school while saving lives.

*The Vamps – Band *
THE boy band of the moment has to be The Vamps. Not only have they exploded on to the scene, we think they’re particularly worthy of a mention after the boys kindly offered a date with the band to raise money for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation.

Dong Nguyen – Technology
Vietnamese developer Dong Nguyen, 28, sent the world into a frenzy when he created the addictive smartphone app, Flappy Bird. The game stormed to the top of iTunes charts and had the world in a flap with its mind boggling simplicity. At the peak of its popularity, the recently revived Flappy Bird was reportedly earning Dong a cool $50,000 a day.

*Stephen Sutton MBE – Fundraiser *
Diagnosed with cancer at the age of 15, Stephen Sutton set a record raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Although Stephen lost his battle with cancer earlier this year at the age of 19, he raised over £4million for Teenage Cancer Trust. What an inspirational guy who is dearly missed by all that got to hear his story.

*Claudia Fragapane – Gymnast *
Winning a Commonwealth gold medal is a stellar achievement, but how about winning four on your first attempt? British gymnast Claudia Fragapane came back from injury to do just that, all before turning 17.

*Mike Krieger – Technology *
27 year old tech entrepreneur Mike Krieger is one half of the Brazilian masterminds behind Instagram. The online mobile photo & video sharing social network was launched in 2010, and by 2013 was snapped up by social media behemoth Facebook, who wanted a slice of the action and acquired the company for a cool $1 Billion.

*Ellar Coltrane – Actor *
Actor Ellar Coltrane has literally grown up on screen, stealing the show in 2014’s breakout hit movie, Boyhood. In the movie – shot over 12 years – Ellar’s character is depicted between the ages of 6 and 18, and at 19 years old the rising star has been tipped by industry film buffs as a big winner during 2015’s awards season.
