LiLo tackles community service

Lindsay Lohan supposedly flew to New York City from London in order to get her legal obligations out of the way before her play begins.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly wants to get her community service “out of the way” immediately.

The 28-year-old star has stayed away from trouble since completing a court-ordered stint in rehab last year and recently she’s been preparing for her turn on the West End stage in Speed-the-Plow, which starts in London next month.

And according to British newspaper The Sun, Lindsay flew into New York City this week from the UK in order to check all legal obligations off her task list.

“Lindsay had to fly back to New York to complete some of her community service hours,” a source told the publication.

“She was advised to get it out of the way before appearing in her West End play Speed-the-Plow. Rehearsals start next week in London.”

Last week Lindsay gave an interview to MailOnline revealing how much she is looking forward to appearing on stage. The star insisted she is now ready to put her transgressions fully in the past, claiming her mindset has improved dramatically.

“I think it’s just the idea of when it starts, on opening night, that’s what makes me the most nervous. I’ll probably mess up on the first night just out of fear,” she laughed of the play.

“I’ve never done a play before. I’ve never even taken acting lessons, I’ve never done anything like that and it’s something new to me and it’s live.”

Lindsay is also reigniting her film career currently. She is attached to multiple projects in the forthcoming calendar year, including horror film Six Gun Dead and action-thriller Life Travelers.
