Keira Knightley: Negativity hurts

Keira Knightley can't believe how much negative comments still affect her.

Keira Knightley is “stupidly sensitive”.

The actress has enjoyed countless successes, including her part in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and several period dramas. However, she still finds it hard to block out any negative comments she comes across.

“I’m stupidly sensitive,” she sighted to the British edition of OK! magazine.

“It’s ridiculous to have got ten years on in my career and find that some things still hurt as much. I don’t know if it’s ego.

“I do tend to get back up quite quickly after I’ve been hit down and then I try to forge ahead as much as possible.”

Keira’s latest movie is Begin Again, a musical flick starring Mark Ruffalo and Adam Levine. She plays a singer in it, but admits the only place she normally belts out tunes is in the shower.

The 29-year-old married Klaxons musician James Righton in May last year but would never try to get in on his career choice.

“No, Jesus Christ!” she exclaimed when asked if she would ever record an album with him.

“He and his band are very good together, so I let them continue to work that way.”

Keira and James might have just celebrated their first wedding anniversary, but being so happily in love might not always help their creative juices flow.

“It depends – you can get some great stuff out of breakups and grief,” she mused. “I don’t think you can forget heartbreak or any of the negative stuff. When you’ve experienced it, you can always use that.”
