Wilde ‘obsessed with tiny things’

Olivia Wilde reveals she has now developed a strong penchant for collecting items of a miniature nature.

Olivia Wilde confesses she has developed a near obsession for collecting miniature objects.

The 30-year-old actress lives in New York City with her fiancé Jason Sudeikis and their two-month-old son Otis.

And Olivia says the house is decorated with unique objects, as she has warehoused loads of teeny collectibles in their space.

“[I’m currently collecting] miniature objects, anything tiny: furniture, cameras, trees – all of which you’ll find scattered around my home,” she revealed in the July issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids is everything I could dream of in a film.”

According to Olivia, her future husband Jason is also extremely committed to collecting particular items.

But he is most interested in stuffing as many shoes as possible into their residence.

“He’s a sneakerhead with about 200 pairs of Air Jordans. They make up an extraordinarily colourful wall in our apartment," she explained.

When Olivia is not collecting teeny-tiny things, she likes to go paddle boarding when in her free time.

“While shooting Cowboys & Aliens in New Mexico, Jon Favreau taught Daniel Craig and me how to paddleboard on a lake,” she recalled. “Daniel sank because he was too muscly, but my girl parts helped me balance! Jon gave me a board as a parting gift, and it’s become a lovely pastime – like surfing with training wheels.”

Olivia is quite busy professionally speaking for the rest of 2014, as she will be seen in films like Lazarus, The Longest Week and Black Dog, Red Dog, which are all due for release later on this year.
