Justin Timberlake and Imagine Dragons were really raking it in at this years’ Billboard Music Awards.

On Sunday, the Billboard Music Awards were awarded in Las Vegas. The favourites of the night were also able to take home most of the prizes. Superstar Justin Timberlake had been nominated in a total of seven different categories and he was thrilled to receive seven awards at the ceremony, including ‘Top Artist’. As Justin is currently on world-tour, he wasn’t able to attend, but he gave thanks via satellite.

The other big winners of the night were the local heroes from Imagine Dragons. The Las Vegas rock band won five categories, including ‘Best Band’. The night didn’t go quite as well for Beyoncé Knowles. Despite receiving seven nominations, she had to go home empty handed.

The other highlights of the Billboard Music Awards included numerous live performances. Apart from Lorde and Shakira, a Michael Jackson performance that could be seen on stage as a hologram really created a buzz.
