Elle Fanning admired the fact that Angelina Jolie could still be a mom while wearing horns.
Elle Fanning loved watching Angelina Jolie juggle acting and motherhood.
The 16-year-old actress stars alongside the Oscar winner in Disney’s Maleficent, which tells the story of Sleeping Beauty with a dark twist. Angelina’s five-year-old daughter Vivienne also has a role in the movie and Elle loved observing the mom-of-six at work.
“She really is amazing,” the teen gushed to British magazine Hello!. “It was so fun to see her be an actress, really working so hard, but also being a mom. She’d have Knox and Vivienne on each hip – with her horns on. She’s the best, she’s so cool.”
Angelina plays the evil title character in Maleficent and dons horns, false cheekbones and dramatic costumes for the part. British actor Sam Riley plays enchanted raven Diaval and also relished his experience with the 38-year-old star.
“We had a lot of fun,” he smiled. “Diaval starts off quite servile and by the end they’re bickering like an old married couple, so that’s fun to play.”
Angelina raises her six children with fiancé Brad Pitt, who she met on the set of 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Their brood love watching the pair in action.
“The older ones recently saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith and I think they thought it was the funniest thing they’d ever seen,” she chuckled. "Watching your parents fight as spies is some kind of strange fantasy.
“My littlest one, Knox, sees Tomb Raider and thinks Mommy can do all those things.
“Maleficent is the one I’m the most excited about because I think it’s one we can all see and that they’re really going to like.”
