The spectacles The Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker allegedly died in are being sold.
Paul Walker’s alleged sunglasses are being sold at auction.
The Fast and the Furious star died at the age of 40 in a tragic car accident last year.
And now BidAmi.com claim they are selling articles found at the scene of his death, including sunglasses and crash debris.
“I felt like I should do something,” BidAmi.com acquisition specialist Kieta told Celebuzz.
“I didn’t want it to be morbid.”
Representative Kieta went on to explain an unnamed man picked up the sunglasses while police investigated the fatal car crash. But when he attempted to give the spectacles to authorities and Paul’s family, no one was interested in acquiring the item.
It appears as if Kieta is taking the man on his word, as it is remains officially unconfirmed if these sunglasses were actually Paul’s.
“He said he tried to contact [the actor’s family] about the glasses and they weren’t really interested,” she explained. “Whether or not he’s telling me the truth, I don’t know. He seemed sincere.”
Kieta claims a portion of the proceeds from the sale will go to charity, and she’ll donate to Paul’s non-profit Reach Out Worldwide if requested.
“Bidding for the higher good is my mantra," she said.
“With every tragedy we can make it something positive. I want it to be for good. It’s about honouring Paul and not dishonouring him.”
Paul and his friend Roger Rodas, 38, were travelling together from a charity event in a Porsche Carrera GT in Santa Clarita, California on November 30 when the car veered off the road before slamming into a pole and exploding in flames.
It was recently reported he left his entire fortune to his 15-year-old daughter Meadow.
