Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are apparently likely to have a lengthy engagement.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are reportedly in no rush to wed.
The couple recently got engaged, with Mila, 30, seen out with a simple diamond band on her finger.
They have known each other since appearing on The ’70s Show 16 years ago and reconnected in 2012. Apparently the pair see no reason to speed up their marriage plans.
“It won’t necessarily be a short engagement,” an insider told People magazine. “They haven’t begun planning the wedding yet.”
It’s thought the pair have been engaged for several weeks, but managed to keep things secret until recently.
Their low-key attitude towards their nuptials is in keeping with their relationship to date. Neither likes to talk about the other in interviews and they prefer sports events dates or relaxed walks to attending red carpet parties together.
“He likes her spunk and willingness to experiment with things he likes to do,” a friend of 36-year-old Ashton’s explained. “They have a lot in common. Ashton is very much in love.”
The Hollywood pair do occasionally accompany each other to events, with Ashton recently on hand to support Mila at a party for Jim Beam bourbon – which she is the face of.
The ring the actor seemingly picked for Mila is just as down-to-earth as their romance, with the actress apparently not a fan of flashy displays.
“It’s a simple band with a round diamond,” a pal explained. “No baguettes, no insets. It’s not ostentatious, like a Kim Kardashian ring. She doesn’t need a security team with her to wear it. It’s a lot like her and Ashton.”
This will be Mila’s first trip down the aisle, with Ashton previously married to Demi Moore.
Although the pair have kept largely quiet about their romance, Mila recently gave a small insight into how they like to spend their time.
“I’ll tell you: we have a thing called white T-shirt night and it’s when you wear jeans and a white T-shirt and you go on a date. Nothing fancy, it’s just something that you love to do,” she told Cosmopolitan.com about her ideal date.
“And whether that’s bowling or dinner or going to a cheese shop and have some wine or walking around. I think that’s just the best thing to do – and sometimes it’s just nice to stay home.”
