Chris Brown is rumoured to be “asking Karrueche Tran to stand by him”.
Chris Brown is reportedly very afraid he will end up behind bars.
The singer is due to appear in court on April 17 for an alleged Washington D.C. assault.
Although Chris got a ringing endorsement from the treatment centre where he has been dealing with anger management issues, he is apparently insecure about his chances next month.
“Chris is really worried though because he thinks it’s a bad sign that he was forced to go back to rehab until his D.C. case begins,” a source told Hollywood Life. “He told Karrueche confidently that ‘this don’t look good for me,’ and she told him, ‘Babe, don’t worry. Everything’s going to be fine.’”
Chris’ girlfriend Karrueche is supposedly planning to travel to D.C. with the star to provide moral support. The model is said to be reassuring Chris he won’t have to face trial by himself.
“That’s a month away and they will cross that bridge together,” the source added. “She will be there with him as he goes through what is hopefully his last time in criminal court. It’s really too much for him to bear. That’s why it’s so important for her to be by his side during all these proceedings.”
Chris is apparently dealing with a myriad of issues, including bipolar disorder and PTSD.
In a hearing last month, a letter was submitted from the rehab centre saying the musician’s anger issues stemmed from him “self medicating”, amongst other things.
“Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD,” wrote the facility, according to TMZ. "Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities.”
Chris’ recent legal troubles stem from his probation being revoked after he allegedly assaulted a man called Parker Adams outside a D.C. hotel in October.
