Girls star Allison Williams has reportedly accepted her boyfriend’s marriage proposal.
Allison Williams is supposedly engaged to wed.
The 25-year-old Girls actress has been in a relationship with Ricky Van Veen for around three years.
And on Wednesday Allison’s representative exclusively confirmed to People magazine she and Ricky are now betrothed.
Ricky is the co-founder of website CollegeHumor, which features hilarious user-submitted and in-house comedy content.
Allison portrays uptight character Marnie Michaels on Golden Globe winning show Girls.
On screen her alter ego is solely focusing on her career, but in real life the actress says she’s already thought about her future family life.
“My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom. I’d love to be a mom – and not have to bring my kids into my trailer… Or a balance [of both]. But you gotta call it on the fly to a certain extent,” Allison told US Glamour magazine in their March issue.
Lena Dunham’s Girls has been lauded as one of the most realistic programmes on TV, as it follows the authentic highs and lows of all the characters’ relationships.
And Allison has previously shared she would be quick to defend any real-life pal who was having guy problems.
“I’m pretty laissez-faire unless I sense real danger or damage,” she told British InStyle magazine when asked what kind of a girlfriend she is in real life.
“If my friend was dating someone who was unkind to her I’d tell her straight away… and then I’d yell at him.”
