Amber Riley is still in the process of learning who she is.
Amber Riley wants to be a better version of herself.
The Glee star celebrated her 28th birthday with family and friends on Saturday.
It seems turning a year older has caused the actress-and-singer to reflect and she’s decided to make some changes in her life.
“In 28yrs I am still learning who I am, I make mistakes but I grow from them. I am determined to stay grounded and keep my peace/happiness,” she shared with her fans on Twitter.
“I have so much more to learn before I become as awesome a woman as my mother and big sister. They have taught me so much w/o words.
“Anyway! Here’s to another amazing year Having fun while continuing to work toward being a better ME! (sic).”
Amber enjoyed her special day by having a pampering session and cooking for her loved ones.
She called it the “best birthday” but also revealed she was keeping up the hard work by joking she would be studying lines until she “passes out”.
“I love cooking for my friends! Last night celebrating my birthday was too much fun! Never forget to share gr8 moments with true friends,” she posted.
“Goodnight you guys! I’m done rambling ha! (sic)”
Amber proved she is a multitalented woman when she won the seventeenth season of US show Dancing with the Stars.
Blogging for Parade.condenast.com, she revealed how the competition has changed her.
“This show has definitely made me more confident. I have done something every single week that I had never done before and I’ve pushed past anxieties and fears and insecurities. Every time I watch back, I’m amazed at what I did,” she wrote.
“It’s by no means perfect and by no means do I mirror a professional dancer, but I’m proud of what I did. Putting yourself in an uncomfortable position and allowing yourself to strive for greatness makes you a better person, and I feel like I am a better person because of this show. I have made myself happier doing this and I have gotten an immense boost in confidence. I am so grateful for Dancing with the Stars!”
