Lily Allen’s ‘ice cream love story’

Lily Allen has allegedly landed a huge endorsement deal with Cornetto ice cream after tweeting about their delicious product.

Lily Allen has landed a “huge endorsement deal” after tweeting casually.

The 28-year-old songstress is rumoured to have developed an entirely new love affair with dessert after reportedly signing a contract with Cornetto ice cream company.

In July of last year Lily inquired of her fans on Twitter: “Is it true there’s only 190 calories in a Cornetto? #cornettodiet.”

And this message supposedly prompted the enterprise to reach out to her immediately for an advertising contract.

“Lily only Tweeted about the ice-cream for a bit of fun — she never anticipated it would turn into a huge endorsement deal,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

Lily is the first famous person to endorse Cornetto’s savoury products and it is claimed she’ll be earning six figures for her work.

The Air Balloon singer may also receive free ice cream at her home and she is expected to star in a TV commercial.

“The new advert is a love story and Lily plays a doctor. It’s all good fun,” the insider said.

Lily launched her comeback last year after saying she was retiring in 2009 to focus on family. She now has two daughters with her husband Sam Cooper and she confesses being creative while raising children is often challenging.

“My life is a bit schizophrenic. I’m two people. I’m Lily Allen the… singer, and music person. And Lily Cooper, the wife and mother,” she told British magazine Elle recently.

“I hate speaking about myself in the third person, but it’s helpful here. Lily Allen has found it quite difficult and stressful trying to reconnect.”
