We have four blockbusters for you that are well worth a trip to the movies.
2013 has once again been an exciting year for movie fans. The audience was able to experience events like Superman coming to earth, Brad Pitt fighting against zombies and the boys from ‘The Hangover’ celebrating the end of their trilogy. But 2014 is raring to go, so the audience can look forward to some more exciting blockbusters in the coming twelve months.
The new movie by ‘Black Swan’ director Darren Aronofsky definitely sounds promising. The bible epic ‘Noah’ retells the story of the flood and the building of the ark. But if his previous movies are anything to go by, Aronofsky will have created a rather sinister Noah character, played by Russell Crowe. Other roles feature Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Jennifer Connelly.
After a good 30 years, a new film from the post-apocalyptic ‘Mad Max’ series is also hitting the cinemas in 2014. However, the producers have swapped Mel Gibson for a much younger Tom Hardy. The female lead in ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ is played by Charlize Theron.
We will also meet Andrew Garfield as a superhero again in 2014. After the first part of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ really hit home with the fans as well as the box office, the movie fans can look forward to the second instalment of the comic adaptation. This time, Spidey has to face two opponents at once. Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti slip into the roles of the villains in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’.
One of the most eagerly anticipated movies of the new year must be ‘Interstellar’ by ‘The Dark Knight’ director Christopher Nolan. This science fiction flick is about a group of astronauts, played by Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway and others, who travel through a wormhole. There isn’t much more information going on this project, but that only adds to the hype about ‘Interstellar’.
