Amanda Bynes has left a rehab facility and is staying at her parents' home in Los Angeles.
Amanda Bynes has completed her rehab treatment.
The actress was placed under an involuntary psychiatric order in July following a string of worrying incidents. In September she moved to a rehab facility in Malibu, where she received treatment until this week. Amanda is now recovering at her parents’ home in Los Angeles.
“Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who’s contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda’s recovery,” her lawyer Tamar Arminak said in a statement. "Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.
“Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She’s very happy to re-establish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared.”
Arminak went on to reveal that Amanda is already thinking about possible career paths and is determined to get her life back on track.
“She’s now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design,” Arminak added in the statement. “She’s mentioned before she’s interested in creating a clothing line.”
The lawyer also confirmed that Amanda’s mother Lynn will remain in indefinite control of her well-being and finances as she continues her recovery.
Amanda was placed under a 5150 hold and hospitalised earlier this year after setting a fire in the driveway of a home in California. She is believed to have received treatment for schizophrenia for the past few months.
Sources close to the former Nickelodeon star are confident she is capable of making a full recovery.
“The outlook for Amanda is very, very good. She will need to be compliant with her medications, but she’ll be a functioning member of society again,” an insider told RadarOnline.
