Taylor Swift has credited her fans with the reason she makes good music.
Taylor Swift says it’s her fans that push her to make good music.
The singing superstar scooped four awards at this year’s American Music Awards, which were held over the weekend, including Artist of the Year.
The 23-year-old appeared modest about her wins, crediting the fans for pushing her to want to achieve more.
“It was an amazing night! The fans keep raising the bar on these fan-voted awards and getting Artist of the Year for the third time is kind of out of control.
“It just makes me want to make a better next record, so that they have something to be proud of and a reason to keep doing that,” she told Access Hollywood.
It wasn’t all work for the I Knew You Were Trouble singer. Taylor enjoyed the night dancing to other artists live sets, especially Miley Cyrus’ bizarre performance that included a giant crying cat projected on to the stage.
She heaped praise on Christina Aguilera and Imagine Dragons, who scooped the award for Favourite Alternative Rock Artist.
“We were going hard on the Wrecking Ball situation. There was a whole theatrical thing happening in the front row. I was really into it.
“I was really enjoying myself tonight. I thought there were so many great performances. Great Big World and Christina Aguilera were amazing. Imagine Dragons were fantastic. I just I loved it. I had a great time,” she gushed.
