Kim K’s auction supports Philippines

Kim Kardashian is putting items for sale online to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Kim Kardashian wants to “save lives” with her eBay auction.

The 33-year-old reality star announced Thursday she is putting dozens of personal items up for sale on the bidding website to support victims of Typhoon Haiayan.

The devastating tropical storm that hit the Philippines earlier this month took the lives of around 4,000 people and Kim is plunging into the relief effort.

“Hi guys, this is a very special auction because a portion of the proceeds of my eBay auction are going to International Medical Corps, which is a nonprofit organisation that provides critical health services on remote islands where families are struggling to access medical care and basic resources like food, clean drinking water and vital medications,” Kim wrote on her official Celebuzz blog, in which she attached a hyperlink directed to the sale.

“The proceeds will go directly to the communities they’re serving in the Philippines and will help typhoon survivors get access to medical care and ultimately save lives. My prayers and thoughts are with those affected by the typhoon.”

Some of the items available for bidding on eBay include a “Hatch Collection Cobalt Blue Silk Shirt” and “Gucci 9007 Pink Ivory Cateyes Round Sunglasses”.

Kim is currently planning a wedding with her fiancé Kanye West, who is the father of her five-month-old daughter North.

Although this is Kanye’s first marriage, Kim has been married twice before, as her unions to Kris Humphries and Damon Thomas both ended in divorce.
