Kelly calls Gaga truce

Kelly Osbourne has told Lady Gaga she doesn't want to fight with her anymore.

Kelly Osbourne has called a truce with Lady Gaga.

The two women have been embroiled in a bitter war of words for months, which Kelly reignited over the weekend. After Gaga presented Kelly’s mother Sharon with a birthday cake meant for the young star following an appearance on a UK TV show, Kelly criticised her. She suggested the move was just for show, but has now backtracked.

“@ladygaga I acted like a child last night. Just not into publicity stunts call me & we will end this like adults I don’t want 2 fight anymore (sic),” Kelly wrote on Twitter.

However, it is not known if Kelly has rethought the apology as it has since been deleted from the social networking website.

Gaga has not publicly responded to the message.

The war of words between the ladies took a dire turn earlier this year, when Gaga penned an open letter to Kelly criticising her TV show Fashion Police. She claimed the show was mean-spirited and added to the pressure young women feel to be skinny.

The remarks led to her millions of Twitter followers bombarding Kelly with hurtful comments, causing Sharon to step in and ask them to stop.

Gaga appeared on the British version of The X Factor on Sunday and posed for a picture with Sharon and a birthday cake, meant to wish Kelly well on her special day.

“Not to be ungrateful but why would you send me a birthday cake via my MOTHER in a country half the would away? #JustSendItToME #LoveNotWar (sic),” Kelly later tweeted.

She also posted a picture accused Gaga of hypocrisy, which has now been removed.

“I didn’t know it was your B-day until this afternoon. Meant as a peace offering. Happy Birthday. (sic),” Gaga replied.
