Harry ‘eager to impress’

Britain's Prince Harry is said to be ready to settle down with Cressida Bonas after working hard to impress her.

Britain’s Prince Harry is reportedly working hard to “impress” Cressida Bonas.

The flame-haired royal has been dating the blonde socialite for the past 18 months.

It is thought Harry is ready to settle down with his girlfriend after seeing his older brother William start a family with his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge. He has reportedly gone out of his way to prove his feelings to Cressida.

“She isn’t the kind of girl to have her head turned by money or mansions. If anything, Harry has had to work harder than ever before to impress her – not something he’s been used to in the past. That’s why they’ve kept things so low-key – he wasn’t willing to show the world just how important she is to him until he knew he’d won her round,” an insider told British magazine Look. “Harry has seen his brother settle down, and loads of his mates are getting married. I imagine he doesn’t want to be the last bachelor standing – he’s had his fun, but now he’s met Cressida, he says he can’t see the point in hanging about.”

William and Catherine tied the knot at London’s Westminster Abbey in 2011. While Cressida is said to be excited about becoming part of the family she is reportedly keen to have a quieter ceremony away from the spotlight.

“Cress is quite a sweet, shy girl, and she knows how to behave in the spotlight. But while she’s quietly excited about being the centre of attention for one day, a Westminster wedding really isn’t her thing,” the source added. “That’s why there’s been so much talk about Africa. Cressy’s half-sister Isabella married Sam Branson in South Africa this year, and the continent is also a special place for Harry, who has co-founded a charity, Sentebale, to help children from the small country of Lesotho.”
