Victoria ‘wants Chanel home’

Victoria Beckham reportedly wants her new London home to reflect Coco Chanel's iconic apartment.

Victoria Beckham wants her new home to look like Coco Chanel’s apartment.

The British designer and her husband David Beckham are currently renovating their mansion in Holland Park, west London.

She is reportedly planning to spend £2 million over the next couple of months make it the perfect family home for their three sons and daughter and is said to have taken inspiration from the iconic designer’s home in the French capital.

“She wants her home to look like Coco Chanel’s Paris apartment, as it’s her favourite place in the world,” a source told British magazine Closer. “She loves the elegant, sleek decor and statement pieces like big mirrors and large chandeliers, as well as the white marble and black lacquer tables.”

Victoria is also customising the new property to suit her husband’s hobbies. The former soccer star has picked up some cooking skills from his chef friend Gordon Ramsay and Victoria has reportedly commissioned a state of the art space for him.

“She’s gutting her property and is getting a professional kitchen for David, who loves cooking, and a fashion studio for herself. She’s also planning to have a huge screen so she can have life-size videos via Skype,” the insider added.

Their new home is reportedly only ten minutes from music mogul Simon Cowell’s house. However the couple’s mansion is said to be three times bigger – an aspect which Victoria finds even more inviting.

“Victoria loves that their house is bigger than Simon’s – she’s told him he has to pop in once it’s finished. She wants it to be so different from Beckingham Palace and has enlisted interior designer Kelly Hoppen to make sure this house stuns everyone,” said the source.
