Aguilera 'won't discuss divorce'

Christina Aguilera is apparently “afraid” of being quizzed about her divorce and weight loss.

Christina Aguilera is reportedly reluctant to publicly discuss her divorce.

The singer filed to end her marriage to Jordan Bratman in October 2010, with the split finalised the following year. Although Christina has been doing a lot of interviews to promote her return to US talent show The Voice, certain areas of her personal life are seemingly out of bounds.

“Christina is irrationally afraid about being asked about that stuff! They’re awkward questions!” a source told RadarOnline.

According to the website, Christina has told her team that she will limit her talk show appearances to protect her privacy. One of the shows she has reportedly ruled out is Jimmy Kimmel Live, with the presenter renowned for posing tough questions.

“Christina is deathly afraid of being asked about her divorce and weight and feels that Jimmy, even though he has invited her on many times, is going to go for the jugular and ambush her if she sat down on his show,” a source close to the singer told RadarOnline.

Christina began dating marketing executive Jordan in 2002, with the pair marrying in 2005. They have five-year-old son Max together and Christina is a fiercely protective mom.

She recently revealed her troubled childhood has made her want to always make sure her son feels safe and happy.

“If I have to choose between working out and spending time with my son after a hard day, it’s not even a question,” she told Redbook magazine.

“I have spoken honestly about being born into a home where there was discord and chaos. I saw my mom have a rough time with my dad being very controlling, which is why I push back whenever I feel like someone is trying to box me in. It makes me run for the hills.”
