Britney Spears is nervous about releasing her eighth album Britney Jean after working so hard on it.
Britney Spears’ new album is her “baby”.
The singer is set to release Britney Jean in December following on from her 2011 record Femme Fatale.
She collaborated with musician-and-producer will.i.am on the record and can’t wait for people to hear the finished piece after working so hard on it.
“It’s very exciting, and this album is different from any other album I’ve done. It’s very moody and electric and different so, it’s pretty cool,” she told BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw. “It’s really nerve-racking ‘cos you spend so much time on it and you’ve been really dedicated to this album and working with Will as co-producer has been cool. So it’s like my baby coming to life.”
Britney’s album title includes her middle name and is a nickname her family have given her. While the name is close to her the blonde singer is happy to let people into her personal life through it.
“A little bit, it’s a little odd,” she noted when quizzed about how it feels to have the world know her personal nickname. “But I think I wanna share it with my fans ‘cos that’s a term of endearment when they call me that. So I kinda want to share that with everyone.”
Her upcoming record comes 14 years after her debut album … Baby One More Time. Britney never anticipated releasing so much music during her career.
“No I never did, I never felt that,” she laughed. “Never in my wildest dreams… I’ll take a break after this one for a while.”
Britney has teamed up with various artists for collaborations in the past, including Madonna. However, there is one musician she really wants to work with.
“Robin Thicke! I would be in a video with Robin Thicke,” she gushed.
When she isn’t working on her music Britney spends time with Sean and Jayden, her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Even though she has her hands full she has admitted she would love to expand her family.
“I’d like to have more kids, settle down… Have kids – maybe twins – and get married. That would be nice,” she told Germany’s RTL.
