Lea 'leaning on ex'

Lea Michele has reportedly been supported by her ex-boyfriend since the death of Cory Monteith in July.

Lea Michele is reportedly being supported by her ex-boyfriend following Cory Monteith’s death.

The American actress has been struggling to come to terms with the loss of her Glee co-star and real life boyfriend, who died in July from a heroin and alcohol overdose.

As she tries to look to the future Lea is apparently leaning on her former flame Theo Stockman, who she dated before Cory. He has apparently been her rock during this tough time and is trying to cheer her up throughout her grief.

“Of course, Lea is broken by Cory’s death. That isn’t going to change in the near future, and I think she’s accepted that things will be tough for quite a long time,” an insider told British magazine Look. “But Theo’s support is definitely helping her. The fact he got in contract wasn’t a surprise, but his unwavering optimism and ability to make her laugh is really helping.”

It is thought Theo, 28, still has strong feelings for Lea and wants to help her get back to her old self. He even set aside time to visit his ex-girlfriend while she filmed her hit TV show last month.

The pair met while working together on theatre production Spring Awakening and dated from 2010 to 2011.

“Theo is still really understanding of everything Lea is coming to terms with. He hasn’t had any serious relationships since they broke up, and he clearly still cares deeply about her,” the source added. “He even took a trip over to Los Angeles in September so they could spend a few days together while she was working there. I imagine Lea was really touched by that.”
