Liam Hemsworth reportedly wants Miley Cyrus to keep the $100,000 engagement ring he gave her.
Liam Hemsworth has reportedly told Miley Cyrus she can keep her engagement ring.
This week representatives for the stars confirmed they have ditched plans to wed, following months of speculation. Although the pair are no longer together, Liam has no intention of muddying the waters further by demanding Miley returns the $100,000 band.
“[Liam] wants Miley to keep the ring. He wouldn’t ask for it back. Liam told Miley to keep it and do with it what she wanted. He told her to keep it as a memento of their love affair,” a source told Radar.
“When Liam bought that ring, he truly believed he would be spending the rest of his life with her. Now he realises they are both just too young to be ready for such a big commitment.”
The ring boasts a hand-cut vintage diamond from the 1890s and is an impressive 3.5 carats.
Liam, 23, presented it to Miley, 20, when he proposed last year.
It appears The Hunger Games hunk may already have moved on, after stepping out with Eiza Gonzalez in Las Vegas last weekend. The Mexican singer-and-actress was also seen at Liam’s home in Los Angeles on Monday, with speculation rife the pair spent the night together.
Miley recently unfollowed Liam on Twitter and it has been claimed he grew tired of the provocative image she has embraced while promoting new album Bangerz.
Apparently the final straw was seeing Miley’s sexually suggestive performance with Robin Thicke at the recent MTV Video Music Awards. Liam was apparently left embarrassed to see his scantily clad fiancée twerking and making sexual gestures with a foam finger.
