Eastwood's daughter dismisses family drama

Clint Eastwood's daughter Alison has brushed off reports the actor and her step-mother got into an argument at her wedding.

Clint Eastwood’s daughter denies reports the actor and his estranged wife ruined her wedding.

Alison Eastwood married longtime boyfriend Stacy Poitras in March and it’s rumoured her father had already split from his wife of 17 years, Dina, at that time.

Reports surfaced soon after the nuptials the estranged couple were enraged at one another during the ceremony but Alison insists the claims are baseless.

“We had an amazing wedding – it was a wonderful night,” she told America’s People magazine.

“My father and Dina were cordial, and it was a beautiful family affair.”

Clint, 83, and 48-year-old reality star Dina confirmed their separation last month.

Us Weekly was first to report the news, claiming the estranged couple quietly split in June 2012 but have “remained close” since then.

Dina shared her frustration with rumours about the status of their union on Monday and urged members of the media to be kinder to her spouse despite their differences.

“I don’t like reading negative things about Clint. He is a wonderful, good natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that,” she tweeted.

The message came shortly after Clint was seen dropping off an unidentified blonde woman at Los Angeles International Airport, reigniting rumours a third party was involved in the split.

E! News reported the actor’s manager, Leonard Hirshan, “said he didn’t know anything about the situation”.

Clint and Dina share a 17-year-old daughter, Morgan.

He also has seven other children from previous relationships, including Alison, whom he shares with first wife Maggie Johnson.
