Jane Lynch is extremely happy with how the Glee tribute episode for the late Cory Monteith turned out.
Glee bosses did a “beautiful job” in paying tribute to Cory Monteith.
Jane Lynch plays Sue Sylvester in the comedic musical TV show and was impressed by how touching the episode to acknowledge the death of character Finn Hudson was.
The actress confessed that the instalment was the most stunning yet in the history of the programme.
“They did a beautiful job,” Jane told Access Hollywood. “It’s one of the most beautiful episodes I’ve ever read.”
Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan and Brad Falchuk penned the script for what will be shown during the upcoming Season 5.
Jane thinks they worked especially hard to please viewers.
“I know [Ryan, Ian and Brad] dug deep for it – they loved Cory,” she said.
“We all loved him, so it’s like we’ve lost a family member and we have to now go on TV and tell the story. But it’s been beautiful at the same time.”
Cory died aged 31 after taking a combination of heroin and alcohol in July.
However Jane and her fellow colleagues have plenty to look forward to in future episodes with the likes of The X Factor USA judge and pop singer Demi Lovato and The Real House Wives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes appearing.
“Demi Lovato is a doll,” Jane continued. “And I’m so glad NeNe [Leakes] back – she’s amazing. I love acting with her. And I love how they write for her.
“She’s got some hilarious stuff this season.”
