Kristen Bell doesn't want a lavish ceremony when she marries Dax Shepard.
Kristen Bell will “just sign the papers” rather than have a lavish wedding.
The actress has been engaged to Dax Shepard since 2010 and they welcomed their daughter Lincoln into the world in March.
The couple have always insisted they wouldn’t marry until same sex marriage was legal in California, but even though that has happened they don’t want an over-the-top ceremony.
“We aren’t having a wedding. We could literally go to the court tomorrow and just sign the papers,” she explained to National Enquirer.
Kristen and Dax want to mark their love by getting married, but the commitment is about more than romance for them.
“The legal opportunities that come with marriage [are what’s important to us],” she explained. “Now, with everything that passed with gay rights, we are happy to join in and be legally bound.”
Kristen voiced the character of Anna in Disney animation Frozen and hopes her daughter will one day grow up to love the movie. She previously explained pregnancy had a surprising effect on the way she delivered her lines.
“The pregnancy did change my voice. It made it deeper,” she explained. “There were more womanly tones when I did one recording while I was extremely pregnant. After I had the baby, I had to go back and re-record those lines so they matched. There was something different about my voice.”
