Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been offered $17.5million to judge the next season of American Idol.
Jennifer Lopez has reportedly landed a $17.5million deal to return to American Idol.
The Jenny from the Block singer could be back at her place on the judge’s table next season if she accepts the whopping offer.
Jennifer, 44, has seemingly been drawing up a great contract with TV show bosses so she will earn a mega-salary.
“There was a lot of back and forth negotiating on her salary, but now it’s finally been settled that Jennifer will earn $17.5m to go back to Idol next season,” a source told MailOnline.
The Latino lady is presumably competing to trump the pay packets of her diva rivals.
Britney Spears was snapped up for $15million on Simon Cowell’s The X Factor USA last year and Mariah Carey replaced Jennifer on the expert Idol panel in 2012 for a reported $18million.
“It’s a major coup for her to land a huge payday like that and I believe she is thrilled with that number. It’s a lot more than the $15m Britney Spears was paid to do The X Factor,” the insider added.
Recent reports detailed the mother of five-year-old twins Max and Emme would be getting $15million for her comeback.
She received a $12million pay check in her first season in 2011 then got a $3million increase for her second stint.
At the time she was on board with Randy Jackson and Aerosmith rocker, Steven Tyler, who left the talent contest too.
This past season of Idol has seen Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj walk away after only one year.
Randy also resigned but will reportedly return as a mentor. Country singer and husband of Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, is the only judge keeping his place.
