Jessica Simpson has opened up about becoming a mother for the second time.
Jessica Simpson feels “at peace” with motherhood.
The 33-year-old star welcomed her second child, Ace Knute, into the world in June.
She poses proudly with her new baby boy for the cover of Us Weekly’s latest edition and opens up about expanding her family.
“With two kids, we have our hands full, but every day is a new adventure,” she smiled. “It’s fun! I feel very at peace with being a mom.”
Jessica and her fiancé Eric Johnson also have a daughter Maxwell, who is 15 months old.
She isn’t planning to expand her brood anytime soon and admitted having two children in quick succession has been tough.
“Pregnancy is a lot. It was hard to do two so close together,” she confessed. “I have this huge sense of accomplishment, and I feel in my heart that I’m done. But obviously, accidents do happen!”
Jessica famously signed a deal with Weight Watchers after giving birth to Maxwell and gaining 60 pounds. She has reportedly been finding it more difficult to shift the baby weight the second time around. Jessica opened up about the constant discussion of her size and said dealing with “hurtful” weight bullies has been a challenge.
America’s OK! magazine recently reported Jessica is struggling to get back into shape. The publication claimed her goal is to be healthy and confident rather than a certain dress size.
“She says her stomach is ‘goo’, and she isn’t sure if it’s going to ever be like it used to be,” a source said at the time.
“It’s not about being [movie character] Daisy Duke. It is more about feeling good in her own skin, feeling happy about herself. She wants to be able to run around with her kids without getting out of breath.”
