Leo ‘scopes out’ models

Leonardo DiCaprio spent time texting and smoking an electronic cigarette while at a party packed with models this week.

Leonardo DiCaprio apparently sat at a tall table to “scope out the scene” at a party full of models.

The Hollywood hunk has a history of dating women in the fashion industry, having enjoyed romances with Gisele Bündchen, Bar Refaeli and Erin Heatherton in the past.

He attended a party thrown by women’s store Bebe in New York’s Provocateur hotspot this week, with models including Selita Ebanks, Coco Rocha and Nina Agdal also in attendance.

“Leo chose to sit at a table directly across from Nina’s table. He sat high on a banquette, to scope out the scene. He texted on his phone and smoked electric cigarettes,” an insider told New York Post.

Leonardo is known for wearing masks while out in public to help him fly under the radar, but didn’t cover his face this time around. He also decided against dressing too flamboyantly, opting for a simple outfit of cap, gold jewellery and cardigan.

The 38-year-old star didn’t seem that interested in the beautiful females in attendance, instead talking to an unknown woman in his group.

“He didn’t chat up the girls at all… he sat with his boys and a mystery blonde, who looked a little like his most recent girlfriend, Toni Garrn,” the source added.

The party was the Leonardo’s second stop of the evening, following dinner at eatery Michael’s. He was seen enjoying a meal with his agent Rick Yorn and director Martin Scorsese, who worked with the actor on movies such as Shutter Island, The Departed and Gangs of New York.

“[There was] an intense discussion about a blockbuster project,” according to an insider.
