2 Chainz has been taken into custody after his tour bus was stopped and searched in Oklahoma.
Rapper 2 Chainz has been arrested for obstruction, according to reports.
The 35-year-old hip-hop star was taken into custody with 10 others after police stopped his tour bus in Oklahoma City Wednesday night, NewsOK.com reports.
A police spokesperson told the outlet the bus was pulled over around midnight after an officer noticed its taillights were out.
Authorities allegedly flagged the vehicle for signs of drug use and attempted to board. But they were supposedly blocked from doing so until they obtained a warrant.
According to NewsOK, a warrant was issued hours later and police arrested 11 people on board including the rapper for “interfering with the police process”.
The bus was towed to a police facility to be searched for illegal drugs.
The arrested parties were taken into custody at Oklahoma County Jail.
2 Chainz was in Oklahoma City after performing at a local arena Wednesday night with Lil Wayne. The identities of others involved in the incident have yet to be released.
It’s not the first time 2 Chainz has had run-ins with the law in recent months.
He was reportedly busted for marijuana possession at Los Angeles International Airport in June after he attempted to board a plane with cannabis.
The incident followed just days after the rapper was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco.
A city police sergeant told TMZ when authorities arrived on the scene to assist 2 Chainz “wasn’t cooperative”.
According to the investigator, the musician’s 14-strong entourage “ran away from the incident like cockroaches running from a flashlight”.
Representatives for 2 Chainz have not yet spoken about his alleged Los Angeles arrest.
