Kelly Osbourne thinks it's old fashioned to ask a girl's parents for permission before getting engaged.
Kelly Osbourne’s friends are still mad at her for keeping her engagement secret.
Last month the Fashion Police host revealed vegan chef Matthew Mosshart had popped the question.
The stars had secretly been engaged for some time, which didn’t go down well with her pals.
“That was the biggest secret I’ve ever kept in my life and I’m rubbish at keeping secrets,” she laughed to Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O.
“But watching my friends go through what they’ve gone through and even my brother when he got married, people tend to make marriage about everyone else except for the people getting married. I have friends that are still mad at me ‘cause I didn’t tell them!”
Yesterday it was revealed One Direction star Zayn Malik had proposed to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.
The 20-year-old apparently asked her parents’ permission first, but Kelly doesn’t think the tradition is necessary.
“No, I think that’s a bit too old fashioned for me,” she admitted.
“I think it’s a sweet thing to do, but everyone knew it was gonna happen anyway so there was no point.”
Kelly’s Tiffany & Co. engagement ring is based on one of her rocker dad Ozzy’s earrings.
The 27-year-old is pleased it’s a robust design.
“I didn’t want anything too girly. I’m not that girly,” she explained. “I’m quite boisterous, so anything with tiny little diamonds around it wouldn’t last very long!”
