Thicke: I switch it up with wife

Robin Thicke thinks being “silly” has made his marriage with Paula Patton stronger.

Robin Thicke and his wife get active if they’re “in a bad place”.

The R&B crooner is married to actress Paula Patton and the pair have been together since they were teenagers.

Robin thinks their 20-year relationship is so solid because they try to have a good time no matter the circumstances.

“When we feel like we’re in a bad place, we try to switch it up,” he told People magazine.

“We’ll go out for a walk or put on some fun music. You just gotta laugh, dance and make love as much as possible.”

The singer-songwriter is enjoying international success with his song Blurred Lines, featuring T.I. and Pharrell.

Robin thinks the song came about magically.

“It was just one of those special lightning bolts,” he recalled.

“We made the whole record in about an hour and a half. I just wanted to make a fun song that girls and guys can sing to each other on the dance floor and be silly.”

Robin, 36, and Paula, 37, share three-year-old son Julian Fuego together.

Apparently the little boy is on the path to become a musician just like his father.

“He’s written six songs already,” Robin shared.

“He’s three and wants to be a rock star! He’s my little road dog and the best thing that has ever happened to me.”

The pair started dating at the tender age of 16 and tied the knot in 2005.
