Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer says the actress is being proactive about maintaining her health and her sobriety.
Lindsay Lohan is “doing amazing” in wake of her release from rehab.
The 27-year-old actress was permitted Tuesday to leave Cliffside Malibu following a court-ordered 90-day treatment programme.
Her lawyer, Shawn Holley, spoke to E! News following her release.
In addition to boasting that her client is doing well, she said Lindsay is committed to her health and her sobriety.
Shawn said Lindsay is being proactive about tackling her ongoing battle with substance abuse as she prepares to make Los Angeles her home.
“It was [Lindsay’s] idea to have a sober coach with her. She is doing well. She is so positive and so focussed on getting her life on the right track,” Shawn said.
Shawn confirmed the actress will be required to attend therapy sessions three times a week until November 2014.
Judge James Dabney issued the ruling on Wednesday after receiving a letter from the CEO of Cliffside Malibu about Lindsay’s treatment status.
“If these sessions are not required by the court and attendance verified once a month to ensure accountability, it is a set up for almost certain failure,” executive Richard Taite writes in the letter obtained by TMZ.
According to E!, Lindsay will be permitted to complete her therapy sessions via Skype when she is not in Los Angeles.
She will be required to show proof of completion at a hearing scheduled for November 6, 2014.
Lindsay was ordered to rehab after pleading no contest to reckless driving and lying to police investigating her June 2012 car crash in Santa Monica, California.
