Lea Michele: Monteith will be in my heart forever

Lea Michele declares her undying love for late beau Cory Monteith and thanks fans for their support throughout the tragedy.

Lea Michele has broken her silence on the death of her boyfriend Cory Monteith.

The 26-year-old actress dated her Glee co-star for over a year before he suddenly died from an overdose of heroin and alcohol at a Vancouver hotel.

Although she issued a statement asking for privacy shortly after Cory’s July 13 demise, the star remained relatively silent about the tragedy.

On Monday Leah took to Twitter to express her deep gratitude for the love and support she has received from fans as she mourns her partner’s memory.

She also shared about the deep impact Cory made on her life.

“Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support,” she tweeted attaching a personal photo of herself with her beloved.

“Cory will forever be in my heart.”

Although it appears that Lea is moving on, it is rumoured those close to her are concerned about how she is coping.

Cory’s death is apparently continuing to take its toll on Lea emotionally and mentally.

“It seems so unfair and impossible to process. She’s furious one minute and wracked with guilt the next,” an insider explained to UK magazine Look recently. “I think she’s wondering how she’ll ever get over his death – and if that’s even possible.”

Cory died at the age of 31 and his passing rattled Hollywood.

His Glee colleagues, including Lea, Dianna Agron, Jane Lynch, Amber Riley, Ryan Murphy, and others, held a private memorial for Cory on Thursday.

Show executives revealed that in light of Cory’s passing Glee filming for the show has been delayed and season five will now premiere at the end of September.

Cory had previously sought rehab help when he was 19 and had always been open about his struggle with drink and drugs.
