The cast and crew of Glee held a private memorial for Cory Monteith on Thursday.
Cory Monteith was mourned by his Glee colleagues at a private memorial.
The actor was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room earlier this month and his demise was deemed to be the result of a deadly mix of heroin and alcohol.
Cory depicted character Finn Hudson on the American comedy sitcom since its debut in 2009.
His colleagues, including on-and-off-screen girlfriend Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, Jane Lynch, Amber Riley, Ryan Murphy, and others, have publicly mourned their loss since news of his passing broke.
They officially observed Cory’s memory together on Thursday.
“Today, Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of Glee, along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith,” Fox Network wrote in a statement to E! news.
“We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time.”
Executives revealed last week that’s Cory sudden demise has pushed back the premiere of Glee’s fifth season. Filming will be delayed until early August and Season Five will premiere at the end of September.
Lea, 26, had been dating Cory for more than a year before he died.
Friends of the pretty actress are apparently concerned that she will never get over losing the love of her life.
“It seems so unfair and impossible to process. She’s furious one minute and wracked with guilt the next,” the insider explained to UK magazine Look. “I think she’s wondering how she’ll ever get over his death – and if that’s even possible.”
